Visiting Etretat is actually experience the painting of Claude Monet's. Monet spent most of February 1883 at Étretat, a fishing village and resort on the Normandy coast. He painted twenty views of the beach and the three extraordinary rock formations in the area: the Porte d'Aval, the Porte d'Amont, and the Manneporte. Musee d'Orsay has an amazing collection of the painting of Monet which represents the cliffs of Etretat.

Normandy is unique in it's way, from all the hassle of Paris if someone wants to enjoy and soak the origin of impressionism Etretat and Giverny are the must go places.

Today I will share my 2 days at Etretat with you. We got to visit the small town at the end of fall, so no crowd of tourists. It was little chilly but the awe feeling of looking at the cliff will gave you warmth in your heart.

The Manneporte near Étretat, Stormy Sea in Étretat, The Cliffs at Etretat, etc are some creations of Monet based on Etretat. Étretat is a commune in the Seine-Maritime department in Normandy in north-western France. The most famous attractions are Chemin des Douaniers, Falaise d'Etretat, Les Jardins D'Etretat. The hike to top of the cliff is easy and the path is well marked. From the top you will get to enjoy the beautiful view and 360 degree view. If you enjoy playing golf Etretat will be perfect for you, because you can enjoy golf and the panoramic view of the ocean together. During summer months there is also option for surfing, wind and kite surfing.

Even thought he town is small it is gem for tourist, also you will find fresh sea food restaurants there too. We had savory Normandy style crepes for dinner which was really good. The pizza at the restaurant looked good too but we were full after the crepes and cider.

Also, if you have time visit Le Havre and the Museum of Modern Art André Malraux (MuMa). Discover the surprising architecture of the city of Le Havre post-war. Continue with a visit to see the magnificent impressionist collection of the Museum of Modern Art André Malraux (MuMa).
